Ragging is a heinous crime and a criminal offence as declared by the Supreme Court of India. Govt.J.Yoganandam Chhattisgarh College has been successful in creating a ragging – free campus.

Our College believes in fostering a harmonious relationship amongst its students and strictly condemns ragging. We have an anti – ragging cell with primary objective to prohibit ragging in the campus thus ensuring a “Ragging Free Zone”. The students are sensitized on the ill effects of ragging and the legal proceedings in curbing the practice. It has been made mandatory that each student is to provide an affidavit at the time of admission that he would not indulge in any ragging activities. It has also been made mandatory for the parents to give a similar affidavit saying that their wards would not indulge in any such ragging activities. Separate forms have been designed for both the students and parents.The Anti-Ragging committee spreads awareness and informs the students through measures including notice board displaying the committee.
